Many clinical studies collect data on numerous biomarkers such as genetics, transcriptomics and proteomics amongst others.  It is often difficult to find a group with the expertise to perform the analysis for all of these data.  As a result, the use of multiple groups may lead to data integrity issues and inconsistency in the approaches for analysing the data.
