Aiden Flynn Chief Executive Officer =

Aiden Flynn, BSc MSc PhD

Chief Executive Officer

Aiden is a co-founder of Exploristics and has more than 20 years experience in drug discovery and clinical development. After seven years as a lecturer at University College, London, he spent ten years at GlaxoSmithKline as a director of statistical support for biomarker studies across research and development. He was responsible for developing and implementing the pharmacogenetics strategy that enabled the use of genetics data in clinical studies. This involved the integration of a wide range of capabilities across R&D such as new analysis tools and methods, bioinformatics, data standards, processes and training. In recent years, Aiden has worked closely with regulatory authorities, such as the FDA and EMEA, to develop tools and guidelines that support the use of biomarkers in clinical studies. Since founding Exploristics in 2009, Aiden has proven to be an innovative CEO, attracting over 50% of the world’s top pharmaceutical companies as clients as well as many biotechnology, device and diagnostic companies. With 100% of all clients retained and repeat business a valid marker of quality, the company continues its successful track record.

Frances Denny Chief Administrative Officer =

Frances Denny,

Chief Administrative Officer

Frances has over eleven years’ experience in statistical modelling in the medical and pharmaceutical arenas. Frances obtained a BSc Honours in Mathematics and a PhD in Statistics from Queen’s University Belfast. Her primary research interest was to assess the modelling techniques for patient reported outcomes and published her findings in peer reviewed journals. Since joining Exploristics as a principal statistician in 2009, Frances has assisted in business development by establishing procedures in the support projects. She has gone on to lead her colleagues in multiple projects requiring strong management, analytical and technical skills. She is an excellent SAS programmer with considerable knowledge in regulatory standards.

Anne-Marie Duggan Principal Statistician & Head of Services =

Anne-Marie Duggan, BSc

Principal Statistician & Head of Services

Anne-Marie joined Exploristics as Principal Statistician in 2013 and soon after moved into the role of Services Manager. She brings a wealth of knowledge of the application of statistics in drug discovery and development, working to GLP/GCP standards for regulatory submissions. Anne-Marie has been involved in the pharmaceutical industry since graduating from Queens University, Belfast with a BSc Mathematics, Statistics and Operational Research in 2007. She began her career in Norbook Laboratories, where she worked as the Company Statistician for four years. She enhanced her drug development experience working for the clinical research organisation Celerion for two years before joining Exploristics and is currently in her final year of a MSc in Clinical Trials with the University of London, School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.

Bernard North Statistical Consultant and Applications Specialist =

Bernard North, BSc MSc (Eng) PhD

Statistical Consultant and Applications Specialist

Bernard is a highly skilled Statistician with over 20 years’ experience working in medical departments in various academic institutions. Bernard obtained a PhD in Statistics from the University of Reading for research in the use of the Cox Model for survival analysis.

He has worked widely in medical statistics from clinical trials, where he worked on a diabetes prevention trial, to genetics, where he was part of the Institute of Cancer Research team that confirmed variants of the ATM (ataxia-telangiectasia mutated) gene as breast cancer susceptibility alleles.

Previous to joining Exploristics in July 2016, Bernard worked at the Centre for Cancer Prevention at Queen Mary, University of London, focusing on a number of clinical trials for the prevention of cancers, such as prostate and oesophageal cancer and identifying novel biomarkers  for the risk stratification of prostate cancer patients to identify individuals requiring more aggressive therapy.

As Statistical Consultant and Applications Specialist, he provides and advises on analysis and design options for Exploristics clients, application notes, scientific publications for the statistical services team and our KERUS™ simulation platform.

 

Donna Hamilton Sales Manager =

Donna Hamilton, BSc PhD

Sales Manager

Donna joined Exploristics in 2015 as Sales Manager, overseeing all the sales and marketing activities for the company. She obtained a PhD from Queen’s University Belfast for her molecular virology research in the “Studies of the vertical transmission of adenoviruses and astroviruses in chickens”.

Previous to joining Exploristics, Donna has worked within the pharmaceutical industry as a Global Technical Services Scientist. She has also worked within the veterinary diagnostics and life science technology industries covering the UK and EMEA.

Donna brings a wealth of experience to the role as Sales Manager and is responsible for managing the company’s sales and marketing strategy and global business development.
